Full/Part-Time
We offer a full-time cosmetology program for students ready to immerse themselves in hands-on learning, our curriculum combines technical instruction, business education, and real-world salon experience. Or our part-time program designed for working adults, parents, and students who need to balance their education with other responsibilities.

Cosmetology Instructor
Training
Designed for licensed cosmetologists who are ready to advance their careers, this program develops the teaching, leadership, classroom management, and curriculum planning skills needed to become an effective educator. Graduates will be prepared to meet state instructor licensure requirements and confidently educate, mentor, and empower future professionals in the beauty industry.

Welcome! I’m Yakeea Lashawn, a licensed cosmetologist, educator, and founder of Yakeea Lashawn Beauty College (YLBC). My life’s work is rooted in one simple belief: beautiful hair begins with healthy hair—and confident professionals begin with excellent education. ​ Beyond working behind the chair, my passion extends into education and mentorship. Through Yakeea Lashawn Beauty College, I am building pathways for aspiring and licensed beauty professionals to grow with skill, professionalism, and purpose. Our continuing education programs focus not only on technical excellence, but also on business strategy, client communication, and workforce readiness—so stylists can build sustainable, thriving careers. My vision for YLBC is about creating opportunity, elevating standards, and uplifting communities through high-quality, accessible cosmetology education. I am committed to helping both clients and professionals move from restoration to radiance—in their hair, their careers, and their confidence.
